The Christine Burgin Gallery opened in 1986 with an exhibition of the work of John Cage. The gallery's program has included one person exhibitions with such artists as Chris Burden, Ian Hamilton Finlay and Victor Burgin as well as numerous historical exhibitions. The gallery has focused increasingly on collaborating with artists to realize individual projects. These have ranged from such site specific works as the reinstallation of Max Neuhaus' sound work in Times Square to multiples with Rodney Graham, Michael Smith, Al Ruppersberg and Matt Mullican and a variety of publications with artists, curators and writers.
The gallery is open by appointment only
